When people say “recruiting” is where the money is, it's false .
It's where the temporary money is.
I built an organization in the past where I had only 2 personal customers and the rest were distributors. My distributors were not trained to get customers and when they realized that after 3 months in the business they would not make much if they didn't work, they quit. And my income left with them .
But the last time I built an organization, I focused on customers first. And now I've never seen such a strong residual income check . Each month I don't fear losing business because my volume is built on solid grounds . But here's why I did it this way…
When I got started, my sponsor told me a personal story:
He explained that a few years ago our company went through a media scrutiny. Fortunately they survived but during that time his check went from $68,000 a month to $16,000 a month!
Can you imagine how you feel when you're making $68,000 and the next month it drops to $51,000, the next month it drops to $39,000 and then it stops at about $16,000 a month?
Well, the great question he asked himself and this was probably the most brilliant question he ever asked himself is… “Why did it stop?”
Why didn't it fall down to zero?
Because that $16,000 a month check was generated through the happy customers ordering the products throughout his organization. This was not volume generated from distributors who were in only for the money .
If he had not had any customers, it would've felt to zero.
That's when he realized what this game is all about.
In the “ no problems ” days, in the high growth phase of a business, it almost doesn't matter what you do but then soon or later there's going to come a rainy day.
It might not be media scrutiny, it may be someone in your upline who jumps to another company and recruits lots of people from underneath you. There are all kinds of things that can happen.
But when that happens, it's going to fall down to how many customers you accumulated throughout your organization.
So that's the reason my sponsor taught me how to effectively get customers because that's what we were going to duplicate in our business.
If you want temporary income, go the old way and recruit fast but if you want long term security and peace-of-mind income , create a business model that teaches how to get loyal customers.

Have you ever heard the cliché "it's easier to sell a cure than prevention?"
In almost every case, this is true.
Think about it.
Let's say you created a guaranteed, proven cure for cancer in pill form. If you had such a product, practically every cancer patient in the world would be lined up at your door, willing to give you every last penny for it .
Now, let's say instead you had a proven cancer prevention pill. Do you think people would still line up outside your door? Perhaps. But even so, do you think people would give you their life savings for it? I doubt it.

I know what you're thinking . If you sell high-quality vitamins, minerals, and antioxidant products, you're thinking "I DO sell a proven cancer prevention product!"

I honestly hope your company's product brochures are better than my company's were...
I tried...and tried...and tried...to sell my nutritional products using their brochure, but couldn't. I was also faced with a low reorder rate from customers.
I made a list of "reasons" my customers gave me for why they didn't reorder. The most common one was, "I still have plenty of vitamins in the box." Meaning, they didn't use the vitamins as directed - they took them when they "felt" like it.
