What happens when you tell them this is MLM?
Negative perceptions about MLM or Network Marketing plague network marketers almost wherever they go. That makes for a pretty bad experience for people, and it's one reason people quit.
As anyone ever stopped you, even before you explain anything about your company?
The Microsoft Windows operating system, Vista, has the same perception problems. People have heard so much negative about it that they don't want to be bothered. They enjoy ragging on it, as you will see below.
However, the marketing team at Vista did something very clever, and documented it in this two minute video below.
After soliciting the usual "oh Vista makes me sick" type comments from people, they showed them something "new" -- in disguise. Watch these jaw-dropping reactions. The problem in network marketing doesn't lie in the business model itself but in the people operating their business.
If people knew how to identify their target market, they woudn't have to beg or convince people to buy their products or join their business. They would attract the right kind of people to them instead.
If they knew how to explain their business and interview people instead of giving a sales pitch, they'd be refusing people who don't have the criterias for success. And they'd have a large and successful network of people working with them.
When you thnik about it, network marketing is such a simple business. You don't have to create products, open an office, stock inventory, hire employees, deal with red tape, and so on. You identify your "niche", do some marketing and interview candidates to find those you want to work with.
If you do it right, you create a lifetime income and can now spend your time traveling first class, spend plenty of time with your loved ones, live in a gorgeous home, drive exotic cars, contribute back to people in need.
A few years ago, Tim Sales created an online explanation that caused the same jaw-dropping reactions about Network Marketing.
If you don't use it in your own business, you always have to justify Network Marketing. You deal with objections I don't have to deal with and you loose great prospects who have pre-conceived notions. In the end, this is millions of dollars lost.
You too can use those "generic" videos to eliminate objections. When my prospects go through those movies first, the next thing they ask me is "What's the product". How would you feel if all of your prospects got rid of their objections and were eager to look at your specific company?
